But for those new to the crew, or fans wanting to revisit the journey, here’s a look back at the Fast & Furious saga in chronological order.

The Fast and the Furious (2001):

undercover cop Brian O’Conner infiltrates the world of illegal street racing in Los Angeles, but finds himself drawn into the crew he was supposed to bust.

Fast 2 Furious (2003):

Brian O’Conner heads to Miami to take down a drug cartel leader in exchange for a clean record.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006):

A teenager gets shipped to Tokyo to live with his estranged father and becomes entangled in the world of drift racing. While this movie takes place after the first two chronologically, it was actually the third movie released.

Fast & Furious (2009):

Dom Toretto and Brian O’Conner reunite in Rio de Janeiro as they are forced to work together to stop a heroin importer.

Fast Five (2011):

Dom and Brian assemble their team in Rio to steal $100 million from a corrupt businessman. This is generally considered the first movie where the series transitioned from street racing to heist films.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013):

Dom and his crew are given full pardons by the U.S. government in exchange for helping to take down a former British Special Forces soldier.

Furious 7 (2015):

Dom and his crew seek revenge on Deckard Shaw, who put Dom’s girlfriend Letty in a coma.

The Fate of the Furious (2017):

Dom betrays his crew and joins forces with a mysterious woman named Cipher.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw are forced to work together to stop a cybergenetically enhanced terrorist from acquiring a deadly virus. This is a spin-off film that focuses on two characters from the main series.

The Fast Saga (2021):

Dom’s long-lost brother Jakob is introduced and threatens to tear Dom’s family apart.

Fast X (2023):

The latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise.

There is also an animated series called Fast & Furious Spy Racers and a forthcoming sequel to Fast X.
